Chinese learning fun for the whole family…

… get to know our new book project, “It’s a big world, indeed!”. Our protagonist and star, little yak, thinks that Chinese is easy indeed and there is no reason to think otherwise – why would you? Just look out of your window and you will see that Chinese is truly everywhere: Do you see the Chinese character hidden in the tree over there? Or the one forming part of the grouchy dog shuffling after his owner just across the street? Of course you need to know how to discover those clues – and little yak is happy to help.

Our PROJECT

It's a big world, indeed!

But little yak needs your help now too – he has gotten lost! How does he get out of this strange place with its labyrinth language, all those cow tourist groups, cycling rabbits and soothsaying rats? Worst of all, Mummy Yak is nowhere to be seen and no-one seems to be able to understand him either. It is not like he planned to get lost too – he was merely looking for friends and adventures in foreign lands. But luckily they say: “Seek and ye shall find”. In any case little yak is very happy that you are now tagging along with him!

Little yak recommends this book for all friends aged 10 to 99 who wish to learn Standard Chinese and who would like to understand what Chinese characters are made up of. You will discover that they are indeed like puzzles with many small parts (so-called “Radicals”)!

Little yak advises, that, upon finishing this book, you have laid the foundation for understanding 80 percent of the 500 most common Chinese words.

Our GOALS

Understand our goals

First and foremost, learning should be fun. In such a big world, there are so many exciting and interesting topics to discover. Yet often they are being taught in such a dull and boring fashion that many lose the interest in learning far too early. Talk about 13 years of school, so we know where we are coming from! (And yes, we are definitely including maths in our list of exciting topics, too!) We wish to bring about a change. In the future, we would like to tackle a broad range of topics spanning all fields of studies, creating action-packed computer games and exciting books, all the while keeping in mind that fun learning is our driving force.

Our slogan therefore is: “Learning is synonymous with fun!”

Our PROJECT?

Selected impressions

„It’s a big world, indeed!“ is our latest project, which aims to familiarise readers young and old with the Chinese language. Chinese is fun and easy indeed and it is high time that people start recognising this fact. As a small sidefact, Chinese is a future universal language, too! Our book has been created lovingly for the entire family and shows that Chinese characters are basically big puzzles. Of course, you discover these puzzles with the help of our animal protagonists – it’s just beastly good!

Learn some first Chinese characters together with our dear salesman, Mr. Crocodile Knight Hugo, by clicking on the gallery below.
