Chinese learning fun for the whole family…
… get to know our new book project, “It’s a big world, indeed!”. Our protagonist and star, little yak, thinks that Chinese is easy indeed and there is no reason to think otherwise – why would you? Just look out of your window and you will see that Chinese is truly everywhere: Do you see the Chinese character hidden in the tree over there? Or the one forming part of the grouchy dog shuffling after his owner just across the street? Of course you need to know how to discover those clues – and little yak is happy to help.

It's a big world, indeed!
But little yak needs your help now too – he has gotten lost! How does he get out of this strange place with its labyrinth language, all those cow tourist groups, cycling rabbits and soothsaying rats? Worst of all, Mummy Yak is nowhere to be seen and no-one seems to be able to understand him either. It is not like he planned to get lost too – he was merely looking for friends and adventures in foreign lands. But luckily they say: “Seek and ye shall find”. In any case little yak is very happy that you are now tagging along with him!
Little yak recommends this book for all friends aged 10 to 99 who wish to learn Standard Chinese and who would like to understand what Chinese characters are made up of. You will discover that they are indeed like puzzles with many small parts (so-called “Radicals”)!
Little yak advises, that, upon finishing this book, you have laid the foundation for understanding 80 percent of the 500 most common Chinese words.
